Poster/Coloring Page Contest for Earth Day
Reported by marzenna_chmielecki@ipsd.org on 4/5/12
Starting April 9th, students at Cowlishaw will have a chance to participate in a poster/coloring page contest to show their support for the upcoming Earth Day (April 22, 2012). K-2nd grade will have a coloring page that will be provided and worked on in art class. 3rd-5th grade will have a blank piece of white construction paper provided in art class as well. Your child's work on this project is optional and can be worked on at home. Students can use markers, crayons and colored pencils. 3rd-5th grade may also use recycled items (such as foil, small plastic containers, lids, etc.) to decorate the poster. The student's name and grade need to be labeled on the back.
The contest will end on April18, 2012, so we can use them to decorate the school during Green Ribbon Week (April 23-27, 2012).
The winners will be announced at the end of the day on April 20, 2012, and prizes will be awarded.
