VIRTUAL PTA MEETING
Join us on Wednesday, May 20th at 6:30 PM for our last PTA meeting of the school year, where we will discuss plans for operating next school year. We will also vote on the 2020-2021 Executive Board. The Secretary position is still open. Remember these positions must be filled for the PTA to operate. The PTA funds things like field trips, assemblies, classroom expenses and reading programs. Should Cowlishaw not have a PTA next year, these programs would not be available for students.

FIFTH GRADE FAREWELL
We are all sad that the year has had to end this way. Nonetheless, we are proud of our fifth graders and want to celebrate their accomplishments and their moving on to middle school!
First, we are still missing many students’ pictures. We would really like to make sure that all students are represented in the slide show we are working hard to create. If you have not sent in pictures of your student, please do so by Monday, May 18th. Please send all pictures to firstname.lastname@example.org. Also, we will be collecting thank you notes for the teachers. Please send to the fifth grade farewell email address or bring any last minute cards/notes to the goodie bag pick-up.
Second, the money that was raised for the fifth grade farewell has been used to create goodie bags for each 5th grade student. Besides the bags having some really nice swag... we hope the included items will also offer fun opportunities this summer. A separate email was sent with pick-up logistics. If you are unable to pick-up your child’s bag, we ask that you reach out to either Michelle or I and we can coordinate an alternative pick up plan. Please note, we will not be responsible for bags not picked up by June 8th.
As we say goodbye to Cowlishaw too,
