Join us this Wednesday, February 5th at 6:30 PM in the Cowlishaw MPR for our 3rd general meeting of the year! Topics covered in this meeting will include budget, fundraising, and spring event planning. All are welcome to attend. We hope to see you there!


COWLISHAW CAKES FOR A CAUSE ORDERS DUE - Order forms will need to be submitted by THIS Thursday, February 6th! Pick up will be on Wednesday, February 12th from 6:30-7:30 PM at Cowlishaw Elementary during Open House. Please contact Julie Sterzinger at with any questions!

Planning for our spring event is underway! Join us on Thursday, February 6th at Whole Foods at 7 PM for a planning meeting. This is a big event and we need lots of help to make it happen. If you would like to be a part of the planning committee for this event, please contact Ashley Williams at


Please join us this Friday, February 7th, from 3pm until 9pm for a PTA fundraiser at Chuck E Cheese! Just mention Cowlishaw at the register and 20% of all our families' purchases will be donated back to our PTA! We had great attendance at this event last year - let's do it again this year! A flyer will be coming home this week via backpack mail with some coupons that can be used during our event! Also, on Friday, your student will be coming home with a sticker that is good for some free play points (tokens) that evening. We hope to see you all at this fun event that will benefit ALL of our students! Thank you in advance for your support.


Cowlishaw Elementary’s highly anticipated Science Fair is rapidly approaching! This year’s Science Fair will take place on April 17th. Science Fair registration begins today, February 3rd through March 15th. The Science Fair is a great way to get students motivated and excited about learning! Want to submit a project but don’t know where to start? The Science Fair committee will host a Science Fair Info Night coming up soon, in which parents and students can preview past projects/experiments, gain insight on project ideas and get all of their questions answered by science experts. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about the science fair, especially if you have a first time participant!

Ozzie's Reading Club is an eight-week reading incentive program sponsored by the Kane County Cougars to earn a FREE student baseball ticket to a game with our school! Your student should read a minimum of the recommended reading time of 20 minutes a day. If you handed in the first base ticket, your teacher should have rewarded your student with an Ozzie Cougar bookmark. The second base ticket time period is 1/26/20-2/8/20. Questions?
