PDAC MEETING - CROUSE EDUCATIONAL CENTER
*Special Event: Tyrone Howard, Professor at UCLA* A Round Table Discussion Examining Culture, Race, Teaching, and Learning in Education
The Parent Diversity Advisory Council facilitates monthly discussions to promote collaboration among parents and district staff to address equity and diversity, and share best practices in order to improve experiences and opportunities for all students. The meetings are open to District 204 parents, staff, and community.
Calling all artists! Cowlishaw students, unleash your artistic talent through the Reflections program, the national arts program that inspires children to get creative! Students are invited to create works of art in any of six different arts categories, reflecting upon a different theme each year. This year’s theme, “Look Within”, calls for you to let your imagination fly while you reflect on that theme and create original work. There are a lot of guidelines for each category. Please visit our PTA website for complete rules before submission. Projects are due no later than Thursday, October 24th. Please submit projects to the bin labeled “Reflections” at the front entrance of the school. Questions? Contact Faisal Abdullah at firstname.lastname@example.org or Anica Dubey at email@example.com.
Special Artists - The National PTA Special Artist Division is an option for students with disabilities who receive services under IDEA or Section 504 to have the opportunity and accommodations they may need in order to participate fully in the Reflections program. Students may enter in the Special Artist Division or grade division most closely aligned to their functional abilities.
Teachers or parents with questions may contact Special Needs PTA Liaison for more information: firstname.lastname@example.org
