FALL CLASSROOM PARTY

The Fall classroom party will be held on Friday, October 18th from 2:30 pm - 3:15 pm. This year the party will be for Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade students only. Sign up Sheets were available at Curriculum Night last month. If you would like to volunteer and did not sign up, please visit the Sign Up Genius. There are still openings available for KP, KS, 1B, 1N, 1Z, and 2L. Due to popular demand for some classes, names were picked randomly. There is still an opportunity to volunteer for the Spring party.

REFLECTIONS

Calling all artists! Cowlishaw students, unleash your artistic talent through the Reflections program, the national arts program that inspires children to get creative! Students are invited to create works of art in any of six different arts categories, reflecting upon a different theme each year. This year’s theme, “Look Within”, calls for you to let your imagination fly while you reflect on that theme and create original work. A detailed flyer will be coming in backpack mail next week with more information about the process and rules of the program. Questions? Contact Faisal Abdullah at fabdullahs@yahoo.com or Anica Dubey at anicadubey@yahoo.com.

Special Artists - The National PTA Special Artist Division is an option for students with disabilities who receive services under IDEA or Section 504 to have the opportunity and accommodations they may need in order to participate fully in the Reflections program. Students may enter in the Special Artist Division or grade division most closely aligned to their functional abilities.

Teachers or parents with questions may contact Special Needs PTA Liaison for more information: laurenk204pta@gmail.com
