RESCHEDULED Family Skate Night20

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Family Skate Night scheduled for Saturday, January 12th has been rescheduled for Saturday, March 9th from 5-7pm. A new sign-up form will be sent in February. Please contact Mary Law with any questions at mslaw0927@gmail.com.



SCIENCE FAIR

The Science Fair is on Feb 22, 2019! Registration for participating in the Science Fair is now open. Please register at: http://cowlishawelementary.oursciencefair.com/



We are looking for 1-2 volunteers from each grade level to be on the planning committee. If you are interested in being on the committee, helping to set up, and/or be a judge at the Science Fair, please sign up at: https://cowlishaw.memberhub.com/HSR19507I14715

LMC VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

The LMC is in need of a volunteer Monday afternoons from 1/1:30-3/3:30pm to shelve books, assist students, repair books and assist with projects. If interested, please contact Jen Don atjenn.don64@gmail.com.



CAKES FOR A CAUSE – BUNDT CAKE FUNDRAISER

Back by popular demand is our Nothing Bundt Cake fundraiser! The fundraiser order forms will be due on Friday, February 1 with cake distribution on Friday, November 8. Bundt cake flyers and order forms will be sent home next week.



SIX FLAGS READING INCENTIVE

Students can earn a free ticket to Six Flags Great America for reading 600 hours! If you lost your sheet just log the time on a separate sheet of paper. PLEASE WRITE YOUR STUDENT'S NAME LEGIBLY ON THE SHEET. Logs will be due Friday, February 1. Teachers can also earn a free ticket, if 8 or more students complete the program. If you have any questions, contact Hyeon Tai at taigrrrl@yahoo.com.



KANE COUNTY COUGARS OZZIE READING PROGRAM

Flyers and information on the Ozzie Reading Club came home in backpack mail last week! Ozzie's Reading Club is an eight-week reading incentive program sponsored by the Kane County Cougars to earn a free student baseball ticket to a game with our school! Your student should read a minimum of the recommended reading time of 20 minutes a day. The first base ticket time period is 1/14/19-1/26/19. PDAC EVENT

On Tuesday, January 15th, 7-9:00 pm, at CEC, PDAC will host a meeting, Parent Engagement: Parenting the Whole Child. This meeting is open to all District staff and families.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – METEA VALLEY

Metea students will receive free cardiac screenings on January 24th through Young Hearts for Life and with support from the IPEF. They need a lot of volunteers to make this happen. Please consider helping! Elementary and middle school parents - pay it forward - one day your kids will benefit, too. This organization is saving lives - please be part of the effort.

SPRING EVENT
